Sweat Lodge Sunday 8/15


This Sunday August 15 at 554 Gates
Hill Rd Middleburgh NY

Sweat Lodge Healing Ceremony conducted by Rev. Bob Medicine Wing

The fire will be started at 10 am with the sweat to begin about

This is an open sweat for the purpose of bringing healing
into our lives, our family, and ourselves.

You do not have to be in the
sweat lodge to participate, there are many other things to do to
support those that are in the sweat.

Please bring a stone that is no larger than your head and please no
shale as this will explode in the fire!

Women wear long skirts or dresses of lightweight material (we have some
available here) and men wear shorts or swim trunks. Bring a towel or
small pad or blanket to sit on and another towel to dry off with. Be
sure you have dry clothing to change into.

Tobacco, fire wood, blankets to cover the lodge or a money donation are
all acceptable donations to the lodge keeper. Gifts do not have to be
large but an exchange of energy needs to take place.

After the ceremony there is a pot luck dinner so please bring something
to share with everyone.

You may bring rattles and drums for the ceremony.

 Please refrain from alcohol, smoking and drugs for at least 24 hours
before the ceremony. There are NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED AT THE LODGE

You may, of course, bring tobacco prayer ties to be hung in the lodge
during ceremony, the amount and colors are personal to you.

Wear shoes that can easily be removed as there are no
shoes,jewelry,hair pieces etc worn into the lodge.

If you wish to bring something as a giveaway after the ceremony, please
feel free to do so.
